This gorgeous katana is handforged of beautiful 1060 AISI Carbon steel, Maru style ,and is beautifully polished with a machined hammon.
Suitable for the hands of a professional only, in martial arts demonstrations and for the walls / sword cabinets/racks of collectors.
Outstanding attention to detail , authentic ray-skin on the Tsuka (Black) with black cotton ito wrap.
The Saya is Classic dark Crimson lacquered with a black cotton sageo to match the tsuka.
The Tsuba features the design of multiple leaves atop each other.
The blade is sharp and is highly polished using multiple grade stones.
This katana also features a very unique dual twin bo-hi running the entire length of the blade and finishing together at the shinogi before the Kissaki.
It gives the blade a striking appearance especially with its blood red saya and creates a much lighter blade.
Maru construction , alloy menuki , black same (ray skin) and an extra long tsuka (handle) for those with larger hands.
Having large hands, this blade feel fantastic compared with 25-27cm tsuka's as it sits nicely diagonally across the palms as opposed to the kashira resting on the rear hand.
