This gorgeous katana is handforged of beautiful 1060 AISI Carbon steel (full-tang construction) and is beautifully polished.
Suitable for the hands of a professional only, in martial arts demonstrations and for the walls / sword cabinets/racks of collectors.
Outstanding attention to detail , authentic ray-skin on the Tsuka (Black) with accompanying Black cotton ito wrap.
The 1060 AISI Carbon Steel blade features a nice bo-hi (blade lightening groove) and hammon, and is also crafted with dual mekugi pins & full-tang construction.
The Saya is custom black & red scale painted , with a black cotton sageo to match the ito on the tsuka. This saya looks fantastic, it truly compliments the feel of the Dragon & the Serpent.
Adorning the alloy Tsuba are 2 giants of ancient folklore, The Dragon & The Serpent. This powerful pair of foes engage each other in battle, intertwining their tails & forming the shape of the Tsuba.
An amazing looking katana.

Utsukushī ken
A simply stunning blade and scabbard. The workmanship and finish are excellent, as are the balance and detailing. All delivered with the excellent service, support and comms always provided by Dan and GVA. Bought this blade as a 21st gift for my son and it will surpass all his expectations - a thing of pure beauty ;-D
