Custom Junsuina Momiji Katana 1095CS high grade carbon steel
This gorgeous katana is handforged of beautiful 1095 AISI High grade Carbon steel .
Custom designed by Guardians Vault Australia, the blade is very sharp and absolutely insane to behold with its differences to a traditional blade.
Suitable for the hands of a professional only, in martial arts demonstrations and for the walls / swords cabinets/racks of collectors.
Obviously this is unique, the moment you look at this incredible piece you will notice the blade differs from everything else.
This is 1095AISI High Quality Carbon Steel and has a nice bo-hi (lightening groove) that runs 23cm from the handle at the back of the blade. Also a central bo-hi that runs parallel to the other for 55cm along the blade.
One is shallow and one deep running full length.
The blade gets thinner on the back edge as we move past the 23cm bo-hi towards the tip eventually widening again at its point.
Extremely beautiful quality blade, O-kissaki tip (long)- this custom style just looks fantastic!!
The Tsuba is black and features a circular design incorporating the classic Japanese Maple (momiji) inspired centre.
White cotton Ito wrap / Black genuine ray skin (same) adorning the Tsuka and White Sageo atop a gloss white lacquered saya .
If you like things a little different than average, this is definitely the katana for you !
