 This gorgeous katana is handforged of  beautiful 1060 AISI Carbon steel, Maru style ,and is beautifully polished with no visible hammon line.

Suitable for the hands of a professional only, in martial arts demonstrations and for the walls / sword cabinets/racks of collectors.

Outstanding attention to detail , authentic ray-skin on the Tsuka (Black) with custom black cotton ito wrap.
The Saya is Classic Black lacquered with a black cotton sageo to match the tsuka & blade.

The Tsuba is thicker than most & features that of the legendary Japanese dragon in its natural element of power (water) among the

waves of Japan.

The blade is sharp and has been treated & polished to solid black taking its cue's from the other night features of the katana.

Interesting to note this one does not have the usual visible hammon line as mentioned along its edge,  giving it a very black gloss like appearance.

Maru construction blade , Chu-Kissaki (medium length tip) in Shinogi - Zukuri shape.
